Finding My Way Back By Fran Veal

10/05/13  Finally I have managed to find some time to read! I was working on so many books at one time and found that I just really don’t do well trying to read multiple things at once. So the one I ended up picking back up and finishing was ‘Finding My Way Back‘ by Fran Veal. Just as the first book had me racing to the end to find out what happened next, this one did too! The action and mystery are great (and it is a young reader series – so a fun one for the bookish teens as well), and I literally groaned when I got to the end because I just did not want it to end! Looking forward to the next book in the series – rumored to be released early 2014 so I can find out what happens next! Love these books, they are easy to read and tell a great story all the way to the end! Another easy 4 out of 5...

Trying To Read Way Too Many Things At Once

8/30/13  Well, I have been so busy with our deck project and I made the mistake of starting multiple books at once! I am going to pick one and finish it very soon with a review and a link! I am reading ‘Finding My Way Back‘ by Fran Veal, ‘Dead Until Dark‘ – Book 1 of The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris, and I won ‘Treasure of Egypt: Action Adventure – Book 1 of the Treasure of the Ancients‘ by Barbara Ivie Green! So, if you are looking for something to read, the links to all are above. With this post comes my absolute PROMISE that I will choose one, have a proper review and of course I will read until my heart’s content! (Hehe, if that is really...

Girls To The Rescue Edited By Bruce Lansky

8/13/13  It’s time again to choose another adventure to go on! I have so very many books that are waiting to be read and so today I decided that I will select one of the free downloads from Amazon. This one sounds like it will be fun! The author indicates in the dedication that these stories were told to his young daughter where she was always the hero! So now, I begin the children’s stories ‘Girls To The Rescue‘ edited by Bruce Lansky! 8/14/13 I LOVED this book and cannot WAIT for the kids to get here this weekend so we can read it together! The main characters were lovable, clever and very entertaining. It was a collection of 10 stories and I finished it very quickly! An added update as of 09/30, I got a chance to read these to the kiddos and they ask for more every time we get in the car to go somewhere. I give this one a 5 out of 5!...

Wages Of Sin By Jenna MacLaine

8/13/13  WOW! ‘Wages Of Sin‘ by Jenna MacLaine was so good & surprise — it’s another series!!! It was the story of a young witch with a tragic event triggering her power and some other surprises. Definitely another gripping supernatural read.  I am really excited to check the next book and see what happens to the protagonist! However I have a stack of ‘to be read’ to finish before I can justify buying another book…lol! Definitely a 4 out of...

Shapeshifter By J.F. Gonzalez

07/11/13  Today I started another adventure in fiction called ‘Shapeshifter‘ by J.F. Gonzalez. Looks like it will be another supernatural read with a wolf as the main character. It sounds like he will be battling an evil persona to control his own life. Will update as I get more read 🙂 8/4/13 – Ok I ended up pleasantly surprised with the twist at the end of ‘Shapeshifter‘. With the story progressing as it did, it could really only conclude in one way but it was an entertaining read. I would give it a 3 out of...

Sweet Hush By Deborah Smith

07/10/13  I am reading a story called ‘Sweet Hush‘ by Deborah Smith. So far I am liking the story; it seems to tell the history of a family of apple growers and their legacy. The story seems to be chock full of trials for the main character as she takes on the farm and all those responsibilities. At first, it was a little confusing with all of the characters telling their side of the story initially, but ended up weaving together nicely. I give this one a 4 out of...
