Product Review Time!!! Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads

Fabulous… If I had to describe the Cutex Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover Pads in a single word – Fabulous would be the one! I was down to that ugly period where you have pretty much a chipped out blob, in the middle of your fingers…To create a difficult mess to remove, I painted over the original pink with a teal/blue color. The pads were quite wet and easily removed all ten fingers without too much effort. The true bonus is, they sent two more! Now my toes are also polish free, and I have to say, my nails feel good and the smell is pleasant after sitting for a while. If you are sensitive to strong smells, do be mindful, they are pretty strong right out of the package and during use (my chihuahua boy covered his nose lol), but it went away pretty quickly. Overall I’m sold on the ease of use and less materials needing purchase on my end! Seriously, a remover in a single pad, for all 10 fingers – easy, peasy – no mess or big pile of cotton balls and no spilled bottle of remover to ruin the tabletop! I put mine back in the fol pouch it came in and dropped it in the trash. I received this product complimentary to TRY, REVIEW & SHARE!!! #SoCutex #HealthyNails #Influenster...

No Worries…Most Innovative Product I’ve Seen Yet…

Hello My Friends… It really has been a very long time since I have posted, if I could just convey how crazy life has been, I would – but you wouldn’t believe me if I did! 🙂 I need to get back to regular little chats and I just KNOW you are missing all of the superb meals..it is time! I am starting out with a product review; I have done a lot of product reviews with the Influenster website, so I am going to share with you how impressed I really am with the Always Radiant Flex Foam pads. I know, I had friends on Facebook think I was joking when the review showed up in my timeline; but I am really excited that someone has finally created a completely new and amazing feminine hygiene product! What is contained in this little purple box, will revolutionize the way you see the coming of life’s necessities. These are the easiest, most comfortable, and most absorbent product of its kind. No one wants to talk about this stuff, but every single woman has to deal with it at some point; and for me, this product helped take away some of the anxiety associated with this part of being a woman. I literally forgot I was wearing it, and there was never, at any time, an unpleasant odor. Bonus added with the pretty, girly design of the individual packaging, and better yet – you can literally wear anything! I give this product 5 exuberant stars and have decided that this is the product I will buy from this point forward! Thank you to #Influenster and #Tampax for providing a free product to try out and review. You have a new customer. Just to reinforce this, I received this product complimentary for testing...

A Strange Little Show – Persons Unknown

A friend of mine recommended watching a show that aired on NBC back in the summer of 2010 called Persons Unknown. I really wanted to like the show, and I did like the premise of it. The story could have done a whole lot more than it did – honestly, I spent a large portion of each episode asking myself, “What in the heck is going on here? Why are these people here? (That one got worse after the last couple of episodes where the writers revealed a whole lot of ideas that went no where!) Will they get out? What is the overall purpose of this ‘Program’? There were a couple of actors that I knew by face and name and a remaining cast that are all probably really talented actors, but largely unknown to me until I looked at the IMDB page for the show and looked at some of the other work they’ve done. Sometimes the acting felt forced or low budget, and after looking at a little about the show itself, it was done in different locations and had several episodes made before the initial pitching of the show to Fox. There is also somewhat of a ‘controversy’ surrounding the end of the show. During the original airing in 2010, there was confusion as to whether it would return, and when revealed it would not – all promotional material for the show indicated there would be no unanswered questions left hanging in oblivion. Well, they lied about that and did so knowingly. There is an interview with the shows producer Remi Aubuchon that intimates the frustration felt by him and other cast members when they saw these false promises of answers from the bigwigs running the show. The interview can be found at CliqueClack TV, and does reveal the direction they were planning on going with the show. Overall, I would give the show a 3 out of 5 stars – the idea was interesting (though confusing) and the situations the characters face are mind boggling, chilling, insane…The one and only season is available on Netflix. The season contained 13 episodes, each running approximately 43 minutes and originally aired July – August 2010. NBC describes the series as follows: “While being held hostage, the strangers are constantly watched by omnipresent “security” cameras with no idea who or what is behind them. Every attempt to leave is thwarted by unforeseen circumstances, which seem to derive from mysterious forces. At every turn, these strangers-turned-comrades are threatened physically, psychologically and emotionally…” Have you watched it? What did you think? Any chance you would recommend it to someone and why? Sound off folks – would LOVE to hear from...

Mario Batali’s Strichetti With Prosciutto

I was spending a little time looking over some of the recipes we have collected and tried over the last year and have come to realize I fangirl out on Michael Symon all the time! If you’ve spent any time looking at the recipes, you will find a couple of his peppered around the site, and in all fairness, one of Daphne’s (which we’ve made many times) – but I’ve never ventured to try anyone else’s from The Chew. I am a huge fan of the show, and find that most of the time we can find something different, delicious and fairly manageable (LOL, don’t count what my kitchen looks like after as an indication of success) new little something to try. I always love Mario’s recipes, but have shied away due to the complexity (which should be called beauty) of what he creates in the kitchen. No more fear! This fantastico pasta dish, Mario Batali’s Strichetti with Prosciutto was just the one to dip our toes into the kiddie pool of Mario Batali’s recipes! First things first, we had to figure out what we were going to do to make this pasta. We didn’t have a pasta maker, and hubby has had many a dream about making fresh pasta – we have a kitchen aid mixer – but the kit for the pasta attachments are just out of our range at the moment. So we went with the “My Perfect Kitchen” Pasta Machine for $35.00. It makes flat sheets, fettuccine and spaghetti. For us and our love of kitchen gadgets – $35.00 will be a very good investment and a reason to make more fresh pasta 🙂 Bonus! The whole egg and flour well way of mixing the ingredients for the pasta is brilliant! That way you are working with it on a surface that should be easy to control the makeup entirely. Once the dough is combined the rolling begins – and you may ‘think’ it looks thin enough – go down another setting for good measure (maybe even 2!). We made these ahead of time and once the pressing, cutting, pinching and forming was done, we threw it on a parchment and semolina lined cookie sheet in the refrigerator until we were ready to finish dinner. From that point it was easy peasy 🙂 We followed the recipe exactly and were rewarded with a dinner that was like a rhumba on the...
